I wanted to write to you and tell you that your website made a huge difference in my journey to better liver health.

Sometime prior to 2010 I was told that I had fatty liver. I don't even remember specifics. In 2013 my liver enzymes went so crazy that my GI doc was extremely concerned and ordered a biopsy.  I was never told the results of the biopsy. Nor did I ask. I got approved for gastric bypass surgery but canceled two days before deciding I would try and lose the weight myself.

Between 2014 and 2019 I lost about about 40 pounds. I had begun to exercise and eat better but did not take it very seriously. In mid 2019 my enzymes went crazy again. I decided I needed to know more about NAFLD (per google) and I was curious about the actual results of the 2013 biopsy. The 6 year old results were terrifying: "Bridging Fibrosis F3 NASH with severe steatosis."

I asked for a referral to a hepatologist. He told me he was  "quite certain I already had progressed to cirrhosis" as it had been 6 years. He was so concerned about my situation that he referred me to his colleague who is the head of the liver transplant department at a major San Francisco hospital.

This is where your site came into the picture. I walked out of that visit in May of 2019 knowing that I had to do everything I could to change my situation. My son had lost his dad to brain cancer 3 years prior. I could not fathom him losing me as well. I immediately started following your NASH diet. The information was so clear and concise.

I combined your NASH diet with 30 minutes of cardio every morning upon waking, doing an 10k additional daily steps and personal training 2-3x a week.

Fast forward to a week ago. I have just had my most recent fibroscan and fibrosure blood work. They both show that I am at F0 NASH with minimal steatosis. The head of that liver transplant team says that have done a great job at reversal.  Losing 97 pounds (proud to say without surgery) and exercise have made my liver much happier.

I have a second chance at life. I feel better than I ever have in my entire adult life. I would have never believed this would be possible at age 55.

Your website started it all for me and gave me guidance when I most needed it. Please know what you do makes a difference!  Thank you for all of your hard work and just know you helped save my life.
