A decision on resmetirom is due in a couple of weeks. While we wait anxiously for the FDA to make its decision it may be worthwhile to take a moment and look at some of the rest of the field.

The NAFLD/NASH arena has broken the hearts of a number of companies in the past.  It is so chemically complex that getting the right response without disrupting something else has been a high level challenge.  It is heartening to know that several strategies have been bearing fruit recently and there are several important drugs now in phase 3 trials.

For those who have asked, I'm doing well with my cancer treatments.  Getting rid of the chemo brain so that I can communicate without embarrassing myself and I look forward to engaging with the community this year.  It should be very interesting with the likely approval of resmetirom as the first approved treatment for NAFLD/NASH.
